Neato closed in 2023. Vorwerk kept the servers running until October 6, 2025, then shut them off. Press the button on the robot and it still cleans, but the app, schedules, remote start and maps are gone.
Getting those back means opening the robot. Both fixes below connect to a service port on the robot’s board, either with a USB cable or with a small Wi-Fi board you wire in and leave inside. Plan on a weekend, and some soldering for the Wi-Fi version.
The D8, D9 and D10 have a locked board, and neither project works on them.

- If you already run the FHEM home automation software, neato-FHEM hooks the robot into that instead.
Read the hardware notes for your exact model before opening it. The wiring isn’t the same across models.
